Notice of Proposal to Make a Local Law

At the Ordinary General Meeting of 27 August 2019, the Town of Bassendean Council resolved to make a local law relating to Council Meeting Procedures Local Law 2019. The purpose and effect of the law is as follows:

This local law is to provide the rules for the conduct of meetings of the Council, Committees and Electors. This local law is intended to result in- better decision making by the Council and committees; the orderly conduct of meetings dealing with Council business; better understanding of the process of conducting meetings; and the more efficient and effective use of time at meetings.

A copy of the proposed law may be inspected at, or obtained from the following locations:

Customer Service Centre, 35 Old Perth Road, Bassendean, Monday to Friday, between the hours of 8.30 am and 5 pm, AWST (excluding Public Holidays); Memorial Public Library, 46 Old Perth Road, Bassendean, during the following periods (excluding Public Holidays): Monday and Tuesday, between the hours of 9 am and 8 pm, AWST; Wednesday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm, AWST; Saturday, 9 am to 1 pm, AWST. Submissions about the proposed local law will close:

4 pm, AWST, Thursday, 10 October 2019.
