Want to know more about future development of the Amess Road area in Riddells Creek?

Developer, Sector Advantage has started work to prepare a Precinct Structure Plan (PSP) for an area around Amess Road and Council is looking for feedback.

A PSP lays out the important features of the precinct for local communities such as roads, parks, key transport connections and areas for housing.

Preparation of a PSP builds on previous consultation and decisions to designate the land for residential development and apply the Urban Growth Zone.

The land was earmarked for residential development during preparation of the Riddells Creek Structure Plan in 2013. Following this, Planning Scheme Amendment C100 implemented the Structure Plan by applying the Urban Growth Zone in June 2017. The Urban Growth Zone requires requires preparation of a Precinct Structure Plan to guide development of the precinct.

The PSP will be the long-term master plan for land use and development of this Urban Growth Zone area of Riddells Creek.

Preparation of a PSP involves multiple phases of consultation with communities and stakeholders. Before the formal phase begins, Council are informally consulting the community from 1 September to 30 September in order to raise awareness of the project and give the community an opportunity to ask questions. There will be further consultation during the formal phase at a later date.

To find out more, come along to a community information session on Thursday 19 September 2019 or make a formal submission from 1 to 30 September.
