Wyndham City 29 Aug 2019

Hundreds of animals and their humans will descend on the Wyndham Civic Centre for the annual Pet and Animal Expo, on Sunday 15th September.

This free Wyndham City event will have exciting activities to help Wyndham residents celebrate the joy of having a pet while learning about the best ways to care for their animal friends.

Environment and Sustainability portfolio holder Heather Marcus said the event would have something for everyone, including animals, to enjoy.

“The Pet and Animal Expo is one of the most popular events on the calendar in Wyndham, with hundreds of families expected to come along this year,” Cr Marcus said.

“With 19,361 dogs and over 7,166 cats registered in Wyndham, this event is an excellent way for residents to learn about how they can provide their pets with the best care possible.”

“Whether your pet is furry and four-legged, covered in feathers or more of the scaly variety, this event will have something to offer you.”

“This is a fantastic day out and people who are deciding on a pet in the future will be given the tools to become a responsible pet owner.”

The Wyndham Pet and Animal Expo will feature children’s activities including a petting zoo, reptile, native wildlife and birds of prey displays, and dog agility demonstrations.

The Wyndham Pet and Animal Expo will be held from 10am to 3pm on Sunday 15th September, at the Wyndham Civic Centre, 45 Princes Hwy, Werribee.
