The stations line the Albury-Thurgoona shared path in the parklands on the eastern side of the Hume Freeway embankment.
They offer a range of hydraulic equipment for resistance training, street workout stations for strength and balance as well as equipment for cardio. For first-timers, the equipment has instructions to help users get fitter, faster.
Each station has rubber under-surfacing for safety and comfort, shading, drinking water, seating signage and bike racks.
Part of AlburyCity’s work to create a healthier community, the new zone complements similar exercise stations at Noreuil Park and National Foresters Grove.
The East Albury Outdoor fitness zone is expected to be in operation by October.
This project is funded through the NSW Government’s Stronger Country Communities Fund.
