News Economic and Tourism Development Strategy Aug 30 2019 At its August 2019 meeting, Council adopted the Shire of Ashburton Economic & Tourism Development Strategy (“the Strategy”). The Strategy is a result of key stakeholder consultation about the Shire’s future direction to facilitate and promote Tourism and Economic growth. The Strategy has three main goals: - Encourage Infrastructure Development and Investment; - Promote the District; and - Promote Business Development.
