Council’s Children’s Centre recognised as among best in Australia

Northern Beaches Council’s Belrose Children’s Centre has joined the high achiever's club, officially rated as ‘Exceeding the National Quality Standard’ under the National Quality Framework.

The National Quality Standard (NQS) sets the national benchmark for the quality of children’s education and care services across Australia.

The Belrose centre joins our other centres at Dee Why, Ivanhoe Park, Brookvale and Narrabeen, as well as Northern Beaches Family Day Care, which have all previously achieved this standard.

The centre has been recognised for 'establishing trusting relationships between educators, families and children, and providing a flexible routine and a program that responds to the children's interest and scaffolds their learning'. This recognition and ranking attests to the high levels of commitment and professionalism among Council’s childhood educators.

Services are assessed against several quality areas. An overall rating of ‘Exceeding’ is given only to services that go above and beyond the requirements of the Standard.
