Playground testers wanted, experience is critical.
We're seeking playground testers aged 1-12 to help make our playgrounds more accessible, safe and fun.
Yes you heard right! Bayside is seeking 250 of the Bayside’s most fun loving youngsters for some serious swinging, sliding, turning, flipping and digging at eight - soon to be upgraded - playgrounds.
Seriously, this job is everything you’d ever want as a child. Basically, you get to think up the most creative, entertaining and exciting thing you can and get to see your ideas come to life.
Each recruit will receive a pack with everything they need to complete their mission. A bandana, bag and their own tester book to complete.
Playground packs will be posted out to every tester from September 13. Testers will have until Friday October 25 to test all eight playgrounds
Though Council’s $10 million 10 year plan to redevelop each of the city’s 61 playgrounds by 2025 – these playground testers have some serious work to do.
The pint-sized play experts will visit each park and record the date, time and what they like and dislike about each location.
The playgrounds being explored by our specialist team of testers are:
Banksia Reserve, Beaumaris Ashwood Avenue, Highett Old Dairy Reserve, Brighton Royal Avenue Parkland, Sandringham Tjilatjirrin Reserve, Sandringham Landcox Park, Brighton East Beach Park, Sandringham Gardens Elsternwick Park South, BrightonIf you have a child who is up to the task then simply register to be a Bayside playground tester here: bayside.vic.gov.au/playgroundtester
