Local artists and performers are invited to apply for the Artists on View program, which supports the presentation of new work at Dudley House, The Engine Room or Bendigo Bank Theatre.
The Artists on View program is open to individual artists and arts groups living, working or studying primarily in the City of Greater Bendigo.
The program, supported by the City of Greater Bendigo, provides the artist with venue access, technical assistance and promotional help.
The Artists on View program supports six exhibitions at Dudley House and six performances in either the Bendigo Bank Theatre or Engine Room. These will be awarded in two rounds every six months.
Applications for the first round close on Monday October 14 and will be assessed by staff from Capital Venues and Events and the Bendigo Art Gallery.
Manager Capital Venues and Events Acting Manager Maree Tonkin said that this was a great opportunity for Greater Bendigo artists to seek support for exhibitions and performances and realise their creative aspirations.
“We encourage all interested artists to apply for the Arts on View Program and to talk to us if you are thinking of applying. It is hoped the program will continue to attract exhibitions and performances of a variety of styles, with artists from across the community and at various stages of their career.” Ms Tonkin said.
The Artists on View Program was formerly known as the Dudley House and Performance Hire Subsidy Program.
