Council Offers Funding Assistance for Carols by Candlelight Events

Wollondilly Shire Council is now accepting applications from local church and community groups who are planning Carols by Candlelight events in 2019.
Carols events are a great opportunity for people of all ages to gather together to sing carols, enjoy local entertainment and celebrate the Christmas season with family, friends and neighbours.
Funding of up to $500 is available to eligible groups to assist with the associated costs of hosting one of these events.
Mayor Matthew Deeth said, “I encourage local groups to apply for the funds to help meet the cost of holding a Carols by Candlelight event in Wollondilly.”
“These local events are a lot of fun and help bring our community together to celebrate the Christmas festive season,” he said.
Applications are available from Council’s website or by contacting the Community Projects & Events Team Leader on 4677 9611. Applications close on Friday 4 October 2019.
