Amendment to Subordinate Local Law No. 2 (Animal Management) 2011

Notice is given in accordance with the Local Government Act 2009 that Charters Towers Regional Council on Wednesday 21 August 2019 resolved to make amendments to Subordinate Local Law No. 2 (Animal Management) 2011 which is authorised by Local Law No. 2 (Animal Management) 2011.

The amendments include supporting dogs on-leash within Gill and Mosman Streets (Schedule 6), require mandatory cat de-sexing as a condition of sale where from the Council Pound (Schedule 12) and amending the City, Environs and Designated Town Areas to reflect the zoning within the Charters Towers Regional Town Plan (Schedules 13 and 14).

A copy of the Subordinate Local Law No. 2 (Animal Management) 2011 is available for inspection and/or purchase at no cost at Council’s City Hall Office located at 70 Mosman Street, Charters Towers City or on Council’s website.
