If you live or work in Wyndham and have some ideas about what Council should focus on for the next financial year, make sure you have your say on the 2020/21 Annual Plan and Budget.

Wyndham City is currently in the early stages of developing the draft Annual Plan and Budget and there are lots of ways for the community to get involved.

For the next six weeks, residents can visit Council’s community engagement website, The Loop  (www.theloop.wyndham.vic.gov.au/budget) and provide ideas on how to improve Council assets and services or suggestions for what else is needed in the community.

Wyndham City Mayor Cr Mia Shaw said these suggestions would be considered in Council Chambers and councillors would decide if they were viable options for funded projects in the coming year.

“Council’s Annual Plan and Budget sets up how we will invest in our municipality and the direction we will head for the next 12 months,” Cr Shaw said.

“Each year Council delivers approximately $140 million of works for the essential infrastructure our community needs like roads, community centres, sporting reserves, and more.”

“We want to hear from you on what else we should be prioritising in your city.”

“Community conversations sessions with local Councillors will be taking place in each ward throughout October giving residents the opportunity to share their feedback and get an insight into the planning process.”

The community conversation sessions will be held in October:

Chaffey Ward: Tuesday 15th October, 6pm to 8pm, Clearwood Drive Reserve, Truganina

Harrison Ward: Wednesday 16th October, 6pm to 8pm, Point Cook Youth Resource Centre

Iramoo Ward: Saturday 19th October, 10am to 12pm, Encore Events Centre, Werribee
