The Community Recycling Centre at the Coffs Harbour Waste Management Facility on England’s Road will be temporarily closed due to structural damage to a shed.

Household problem wastes normally collected at this facility include household quantities of: water and oil based Paints, motor and other oils, household batteries, fluoro light globes, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, and gas bottles.

Alternate facilities are available to the community for the disposal of these problem waste materials at:

Bellingen Community Recycling Centre 146 Shortcut Road, Raleigh Phone 02 6655 3777 Nambucca Community Recycling Centre 711 Old Coast Road, Nambucca Heads Phone 02 6568 2170 Grafton Community Recycling Centre 704 Armidale Road, Elland Phone 02 6641 4980

If you cannot travel to one of these facilities, please keep your problem waste items securely stored at your premises for the interim.

The community can still drop off e-wastes (televisions, VCRs, DVDs, computers etc) at the Englands Road Waste Management facility, and household batteries and mobile phones can be dropped off at your local library in Coffs Harbour, Toormina and Woolgoolga.

The free public recycling drop-off for materials such as cardboard, paper, polystyrene, glass bottles and jars, and recyclable plastic and aluminium containers, will still operate as normal, as will yellow recycling bin collections.

The community will be updated on site alternatives and the reopening of the Community Recycling Centre on England’s road on the Coffs Coast Waste website: http://www.coffscoastwaste.com.au/ and on the Coffs Coast Waste Services Facebook page.

Alternatively, enquiries can be directed to Coffs Harbour City Council on 02 6648 4000.
