Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC) is inviting the community to have their say on future improvements to Thiess Park in Darling Heights.
TRC’s Environment and Community portfolio leader, Cr Joe Ramia said that Council is inviting the community to provide feedback on what they like about Thiess Park, how they currently use the space and what can be improved.
“The project aims to improve recreational facilities within Thiess Park.
“It may include improvements to playgrounds, dog off-leash facilities, pathways, picnic facilities and car parking and other recreational and support facilities which encourage people to visit and stay longer at our parks.
“Council is seeking community feedback to help guide these improvements.
“You can share your ideas until Sunday 6 October 2019 by completing an online survey at Council’s Your Say website. Hard copy surveys are also available at customer service centres.
“Survey feedback will be used to guide the development of a draft concept design for the park. The community will have an opportunity to comment on the draft concept from late 2019.
“It is important to note that any future upgrade works will be dependent on funding and Council priorities.”
