And then there are those days when you go to work in a chopper! Ben Broad, Tony Joyce and John Smith from Council's parks and gardens team were flown to the top of Mt Cook on Tuesday by GBR Helicopters Australia to complete twice-yearly contracted maintenance of the Queensland Emergency Services’ helipad site and transmission tower. The crew cleared the site of overgrown vegetation, including the track entrance to the rock lookout on the southern side of the mountain.
