Free children’s activities and book launch

Gippsland children’s author Rebecca McGregor will launch her new picture book No More Kisses and host pre-schooler reading sessions at Wellington libraries next month.

An official launch of Rebecca’s latest book will be held at the Sale Library, with exciting book reading sessions taking place at Stratford, Maffra, Rosedale and Yarram during the school holidays.

Children will love the story of Sam who decides that kisses from his family are sticky, smelly, hairy and just plain disgusting.

The humorous story follows Sam as he avoids kisses on his fifth birthday and ends up in quite a predicament.

The official launch of the book will take place at the Sale library on Saturday, 5 October at 10am. Families are invited to attend.

Rebecca will also host reading sessions of her book during the regular story time sessions as follows:

These reading sessions encourage children to engage with the library and begin reading from a young age whilst also promoting creativity.
