Urgent Road Closure – Inclement Weather

The urgent closure of Hartley Valley Road has been effected today, 17 September 2019, to ensure the safety of motorists in light of recent inclement weather conditions.
As a result of ice and snow fall occurring this morning on 17 September 2019, Lithgow City Council has effected a full road closure of Hartley Valley Road, in the vicinity of Browns Gap. In order to ensure the safety of the public, access will be restricted until further notice.
Should weather conditions improve, Council engineers will assess the situation and re-open the road as soon as possible. The safety of motorists travelling through the area is of utmost concern at this time.
Council will continue to advise of any road closures throughout the Lithgow LGA as they are effected. Please exhibit caution and patience while travelling through the area.
