Anyone with an eye for a great photo and a love of the Macarthur region’s spectacular natural environment is invited to enter the Macarthur Nature Photography Competition.
Photographers of all ages can enter the competition with their photos that capture the amazing flora and fauna of the area.
Mayor George Brticevic encouraged people to tap into their creative streak and enter the competition.
“Our region contains some of the most stunning natural environments in Sydney,” Cr Brticevic said.
“This competition allows our creative residents and students to showcase our local environment and advertise it to the wider community,” he said.
The themes for this year’s competition are Native Flora, Native Fauna, Waterways, Experience Nature and Landscapes of Macarthur.
Entries are open to residents across Campbelltown City, Camden and Wollondilly councils.
More than $5000 in prizes are up for grabs across the multiple themes and age groups.
People are also invited to join renowned bird specialist and photographer, Mark Fuller on a free Walk and Talk tour of Scattergood Reserve at St Helens Park on Saturday 21 September.
The tour will take people through a variety of habitats and look for the array of wildlife living within.
