It was a great turn out at Blacktown Tennis Centre Stanhope last weekend for the first ever gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender tennis tournament. The tournament is run four times a year at various locations and is hosted by Tennis Sydney.
Mayor Blacktown City, Councillor Stephen Bali MP said it was wonderful to see Blacktown Tennis Centre Stanhope chosen as the host venue.
“We are committed to promoting inclusion within our community and encourage participation in sport no matter what age, culture or sexual identity,” said Mayor Bali.
Blacktown Tennis Centre Stanhope is one of the largest tennis centres in New South Wales, featuring 16 plexi-cushion courts, grandstand seating for 288 spectators, LED lighting, administration and tournament office, function room, child’s play area and much more.
“Blacktown Tennis Centre Stanhope is a great facility and we look forward to hosting more events like this one in the near future,” Mayor Bali added.
