The Victorian Seniors Festival returns this October, with the entire month dedicated to celebrating adults over the age of 65 and their ongoing contributions to our community.
With over 60 free or low cost events and activities on offer in Boroondara, there is something for everyone to enjoy. In line with this year’s festival theme of ‘get into it’, we are encouraging older residents in our community to try something new, expand their knowledge, socialise, get creative and improve their health and wellbeing.
We have collaborated with community groups and seniors organisations across the City to put together a program of events that is sure to entice. Visit our Seniors Festival page to find an event to suit your lifestyle.
We are hosting 6 main events for over 65s to enjoy:
Melbourne Chamber Orchestra at Hawthorn Arts Centre (Monday 7 October) The King’s Speech at the Rivoli (Friday 11 October) In the kitchen with Paul Mercurio at Greythorn Community Hub (Tuesday 15 October) Annual Centenarians’ Lunch at Hawthorn Arts Centre (Thursday 24 October) Dance Hall Days at Ashburton Library’s Copland Room (Monday 28 October) You and Your Garden at the Kew Seniors Centre (Thursday 31 October)Bookings for all events are essential.
