One of Sydney’s boldest one-day food festivals, Liverpool on a Roll, returns on 9 November with bites and beats that celebrate South West Sydney’s multicultural identity.
Once again, food stalls will sell tasty treats presented ‘on a roll’ such as banh mi, burgers and burritos. There’ll also be live entertainment, giveaways, garden games, seasonal local produce for sale and a pop-up beer garden.
“Our inaugural Liverpool on a Roll in March had all the right ingredients, drawing more than 10,000 people to Liverpool’s newest multicultural celebration,” Liverpool Mayor Wendy Waller said.
“We were planning on making Liverpool on a Roll an annual event, but the response was so positive we are delighted to bring it back this Spring to make the most of the warmer weather.”
The second edition of Liverpool on a Roll will return to Greenway Park, West Hoxton, from 4pm – 10pm on Saturday 9 November. Council is now calling on food vendors and businesses to get involved as stallholders or sponsors.
“Liverpool on a Roll is a fantastic, affordable celebration of our city’s cultural diversity, with all food offerings to be $12 or less,” Mayor Waller said.
“The festival will bring some of our region’s best restaurants and cafes together for one evening only, challenging them to create something delicious that explores our ‘on a roll’ event concept.
“I encourage restaurants, cafes and businesses to submit an Expression of Interest to Council should they wish to support Liverpool on a Roll as a stallholder or sponsor.”
