Donald MacDonald Reserve upgrade
Bayside City Council 18 Sep 2019

Donald MacDonald Reserve will soon be out of action for up to 12 months to ensure it can continue to be used for local sport and recreational use including dog walking.

Upgrades will help to address drainage issues at the site, replace the centre turf wicket with a synthetic wicket, utilise drought tolerant instant turf and install a new irrigation system.

Below is an example of past drainage problems at the reserve.

Timing

These works will require the sportsground to be closed from early October 2019.

Following the upgrade the oval will reopen for both sport and informal recreational use in October 2020.

We acknowledge that this is an inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
