Senior Advisor Human Resources

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated professional to join our small, high performing Human Resources team. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing expert advice and support to managers and employees in relation to workforce management issues, legislative compliance, policy development, training, recruitment, employee wellbeing and HR metrics reporting.  The position also provides support and coverage for workplace health and safety tasks and functions when required.

The successful applicant will have a tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related field and diverse experience providing advice and support in relation to workforce management functions. They will have high level literacy, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently or constructively as part of the team.

Council offers a competitive wage and benefits including:

Permanent Full Time Position Wage Level LGOA 6 (commencing at $83, 847.42 per annum) Mareeba Allowance of $1,443 per annum Up to 12% Employer Superannuation Contribution Rostered Day Off every month 5 weeks’ annual leave
