Gympie Regional Council brings the fun this school holidays

There will be plenty to see and do this school holiday season during Gympie Regional Council’s Holiday Fun programme.
Don’t miss your chance to get out on the water, as the Tin Can Bay Yacht Club hosts Green Sailing, on Tuesday 24 September from 12pm to 4pm. This is an off-the beach club which promotes, fosters and conducts the sport of sailing and boating. This free event is for kids 7 and over, with bookings essential.
Bring your own device (phone, tablet or camera) to the Gympie Camera Club, located at 39 Saleyard Road, Araluen on Thursday 26 September from 10am to 12pm, and explore the world of photography. This free event is for kids 10 and over, with bookings essential. Morning Tea will be provided on the day.
On Monday 30 September from 10am to 12.30pm, visit the Gympie Gold and Historical Museum, and experience the amazing history of the Gympie region and try gold panning. Follow your guide through the remarkable collection of artefacts and discover how Gympie saved Queensland. This free event is for kids 5 and over, with bookings essential. A sausage sizzle will be available on the day.
Two great activities will be held at the Gympie Regional Gallery on Wednesday 25 September, featuring artist Pamela See. These events are being held in conjunction with the exhibition Stopping Time: Material Prints 3000 BCE to Now, that will be on display from 25 September to 16 November.
Bring your grandparent or favourite senior to the gallery from 10am to 12pm, and make family portraits by cutting paper, gluing and assembling. The event is for kids 5 and over and costs $8 per child, with bookings essential.
Join Pamela at the gallery for Woodblock Printing from 1pm to 3pm, and use wooden blocks and printing techniques to make a colourful print. The event is for kids 6 and over and costs $8 per child, with bookings essential.
The Gympie Regional Libraries are also celebrating the school holidays, with an amazing array of activities to choose from.
