Emergency Closure of Tallowwood Point Bridge Promised Land Road, Gleniffer

Bellingen Shire Council advises of the immediate emergency closure of the Tallowwood Point Bridge Promised Land Road, Gleniffer due to the movement and failure of a bridge pile.

The Tallowwood Point Bridge is a timber bridge located approximately seven kilometres from the Gleniffer Four way Intersection and during the emergency closure period, vehicular traffic will be required to comply with signage and utilise the alternate arm of the Promised Land Road loop.

Emergency service agencies and utility providers have been notified of the temporary closure of Tallowwood Point Bridge which does not affect existing bus routes or services and motorists are advised to plan their journey to allow for extra travel time.

It is anticipated that the Tallowwood Point Bridge emergency closure period will remain in place for approximately four weeks weather permitting and Council apologises for any inconvenience these temporary delays may cause and thanks you in advance for your patience during these emergency works.
