Bellingen Shire library users are invited to have their say on what books they want to see on the shelves in our libraries.
On Wednesday 9th October from 11am to 2.30pm residents can choose from a range of adult and children’s fiction and non-fiction titles from library suppliers that will be on display at the Bellingen Library.
Bellingen Shire Council General Manager, Liz Jeremy, said it is a chance for the community to have their say on what titles they’d like to see our libraries buy.
“While our libraries are always responsive to suggestions from the community for new book purchases, this event will give our community a chance to go through a large selection of new books and choose the ones they would like to read,” Mrs Jeremy said.
“It is also a good opportunity to chat with library staff, booksellers and other readers about your reading passions and you can also select books that will be available at our Dorrigo Library and the newly refurbished library at Urunga.”
Library members can have the books reserved on the day so that after the items have been processed they can be the first to take them home.
