Bellingen Shire Council invites incorporated not for profit organisations to apply for funding for projects, programs and events that support a connected, sustainable and creative Shire.
The community can access three separate funds including the Community Event Sponsorship Fund for local events, the Community Support Fund for community orientated activities and the Creative Placemaking Fund for projects that invigorate and activate public spaces through art and performance. The Creative Placemaking grants are also open to individuals and unincorporated community groups.
To be successful, applicants must demonstrate that their project aligns with the Bellingen Shire 2027 Community Vision. For example, projects that facilitate social inclusion, public health, learning opportunities, creativity and sustainability will be highly regarded.
Previously funded projects include the Bellingen Fine Music Festival, Dorrigo Folk and Bluegrass Festival, Screenwave International Film Festival, an Indigenous art exhibition at the Art Space Urunga, senior social events at Mylestom, a new storage facility at the Bellingen Men’s Shed, a mosaic place making project and an Indigenous public art project.
Applications for Round 2 open on Monday 23rd September and close on Monday 28th October at 5pm.
