It’s not a part of our job that we enjoy but unfortunately swings on Council trees on nature strips are too much of a risk to the community for us to allow.
Dr Hamish Reid, Director City Planning and Amenity said:
“We encourage all Bayside residents to be active outdoors.
“Council provides numerous playgrounds with swings and other stimulating play equipment for children to enjoy.
“We would hate for anything to happen to a child playing on or near a swing on a nature strip.”
Council is committed to supporting the Bayside community to live an active and healthy lifestyle and is investing more than $43 million in upgrades to sporting facilities and playgrounds across the municipality over 10 years.
