Morning Melodies Has Its Encore

The feelgood music series Morning Melodies kicked off with Downtown - The Songs of Petula Clark, where nearly 200 residents “forgot all their troubles and forgot all their cares”.

The Morning Melodies series at Encore Events Centre showcases a stellar lineup with acclaimed cabaret singer Melissa Langton opening the series, performing The Songs of Petula Clark.  Next month Australia’s undisputed King of country and rock and roll Jade Hurley, will be singing well known favourites including Peggy Sue, Old Time Rock and Roll and Great Balls of Fire.

The Morning Melodies series, which includes morning tea, will be held on the second Tuesday of each month and tickets are $12.

Portfolio Holder for Arts, Culture and Heritage Cr Tony Hooper said the lineup was fantastic and encouraged residents to come along to Morning Melodies, bring a friend, and enjoy the opportunity to meet others.

“It’s great to see this series being hosted at our Encore Events Centre,” Cr Hooper said.

“Jade Hurley who is regarded as one of Australia’s music and entertainment icons, will perform crowd favourites on Tuesday 8th October.”

“In November we have the multi award-winning vocalist and songwriter, Nina Ferro, paying tribute with the songs for the great Ella Fitzgerald, which is sure to be another crowd pleaser.”

“We also have something very special lined up in December, where the season will be closed out with acclaimed cabaret singers Melissa Langton and Mark Jones coming to town with a good dose of Christmas cheer.”

Morning Melodies Program

Jade Hurley – 10:30 am, Tuesday 8th October 

Jade Hurley, the undisputed King of country and rock ‘n roll music in Australia, is coming to Wyndham. His showcase of songs will include “Peggy Sue”, “Old Time Rock and Roll” and “Great Balls of Fire” to name a few.

Lady Be Good – The Songs of Ella Fitzgerald -  10:30am, Tuesday 12th November

Nina Ferro, a multi award-winning vocalist and songwriter, is Ella Fitzgerald in Lady Be Good. A joyous, swinging tribute to the first lady of song.

Santa Claus is Coming to Town – 10:30am Tuesday 10 December
