Mayor Neil Trotter said events and festivals add to the vitality of the Shire and provide a sense of community as well as economic benefits.
“Council is really pleased to be able to help the organisers of these events through the Events and Festivals Grants Program.
“We have developed this program to help start-up events get off the ground and to build up existing events.
“Supporting organisers to put on quality events will promote the area as a destination for visitors creating economic opportunities for businesses in the Shire.
“Full credit must go to the volunteers who put so much effort into turning these events into reality, as well as to the corporate sponsors who play such massive roles in our communities.”
