After months of work, the Borough of Queenscliffe has welcomed the removal of parking fees at the Queenscliff Boat Ramp. With parking fees now no longer being charged, Queenscliff boaters will now be able to enjoy a cheaper day out on the water.
The removal of boat fees comes after extensive discussions between Council and the Victorian Government. “Fee-free boating will make a day out on the water more accessible for everyone,” Cr Merriman said. “That’s why Council has been working closely with the Victorian Government on removing these fees.”
The Borough of Queenscliffe hopes that the removal of fees will bring more boaters to the region to enjoy world-class fishing and boating opportunities. “The Borough of Queenscliffe is the best place in the state to go boating and fishing,” Cr Merriman said. “With no fees being charged for parking at the Queenscliff Boat Ramp, there’s never been a better time to visit our community for a day on the water.”
Council has also expressed support for the proposed upgrade of the Queenscliff Boat Ramp, and will be working closely with the Victorian Government to deliver this improvement. Cr Merriman thanked the Victorian Government, Minister Jaala Pulford and Member for Bellarine Lisa Neville for funding this important upgrade.
More information about using the Queenscliff Boat Ramp is available on Council’s website.
