Ballina Shire Council is pleased to announce the Festival and Event Sponsorship Program for the 2020/21 financial year is now open. Local Event organisers are invited to express an interest by completing an online application form and lodging it with Council. There is a total amount of approximately $100,000 available for distribution for event sponsorship opportunities.

Terms and Conditions of Funding
The provision of funds for the Festival and Event Support Program is subject to a number of terms and conditions that must be agreed to prior to the release of funds.
Free Event Promotion – Ballina Visitor Information Centre The Ballina Visitor Information Centre is coordinated by Council’s Tourism Section and is great resource to promote your upcoming event to both locals and visitors to the area. Event Surveys In order for Council to measure its investment in the Festival and Event Funding Program, we encourage community event organisers to undertake a survey at their event. An event survey has been prepared by Council as a guide for recipient organisations. This survey should be tailored to meet the needs of individual community event organisers and the feedback they require from attendees. To ensure a high level of completion, it is important that the event surveys are conducted by event organisers or experienced volunteers.
Whilst the completion of event surveys is not a mandatory requirement for funding, it will be highly regarded when recipients are seeking future funding. Surveys could also assist event organisers secure alternative government funding.
Acquittal Form The recipient organisation must provide Ballina Shire Council with a completed acquittal form within six weeks of completion of the event. This document will assist organisers in collating the required information throughout the planning and implementation stages of their event.
