ZestFest is a vibrant two week festival that celebrates positive ageing and community wellbeing through a range of participatory activities and events. Council’s community centres, recreation facilities and local sporting clubs will be joining the state-wide celebration by offering a variety of fun activities for over 50s from 21–25 October.
The ZestFest program provides the perfect opportunity to try something new, meet new friends or perhaps even find a new hobby. From Tai Chi and Laughter Yoga to Social Tennis and Walking Footy, Council’s ZestFest program has something for everyone and every ability. And with nearly 40 per cent of the Unley Council area’s population aged 50 years and over it will be a great celebration of their contribution to the local community.
Council’s Events Management Specialist Carly Hemus says the Council is hoping that many people seize the opportunity to take part in ZestFest SA.
“Modern ageing embraces the idea that older people are extraordinary. It celebrates the assets of knowledge and life experience, which can be gained only through the journey of ageing.”
