First instalment rates reminder

Published on 24 September 2019

Mildura Rural City Council is reminding ratepayers wishing to pay their rates in quarterly instalments that their first payment is due on Monday 30 September.

Council rates can be paid in one lump sum (on or before 17 February 2020) or the amount due can be spread out over the course of the year and paid in four instalments.

To qualify for the quarterly instalment program, people must pay their first instalment, in full, by the due date of 30 September 2019.  Any arrears detailed on the rate notice must also be paid in full inclusive of penalty interest up to the date of payment.

Rates can be paid in person at any of Council’s Service Centres, online and in person at Australia Post, via BPAY, mail or via Centrepay for those receiving Centrelink payments.

Residents can also pay by direct debit by visiting Council’s website and filling in a direct debit request form.

Anyone experiencing financial difficulties or having trouble making rates payments should contact Council as soon as possible to discuss their circumstances and make alternative arrangements.

More information about Council rates, including direct debit request forms is available online at www.mildura.vic.gov.au/About-Council/Rates-Valuations
