What do you get when you cross Ballarat’s biggest lunch with Ballarat’s biggest water aerobics? 

The 2019 Victorian Seniors Festival in Ballarat! 

October is jam-packed with a range of great events for seniors as part of the annual festival. 

The City of Ballarat will host several events, including: 

a free Seniors Pop-Up Hub on Wednesday 2 October from 10am-3pm at Lucas Community Hub. Presented by the City of Ballarat’s Active Ageing team, this event will feature fun activities, information stands, and you can learn how to register for My Aged Care.  the 2019 Senior of the Year Awards on Thursday 3 October at Ballarat Town Hall at 2pm.   Ballarat’s Biggest Community Lunch will be held at the Ballarat Regional Soccer Facility in Pleasant Street on Tuesday 15 October at 12pm.   Ballarat’s Biggest Water Aerobics will be held on Thursday 17 October at the Ballarat Aquatic and Lifestyle Centre at 10.30am. Free event.

The Victorian Seniors Festival runs throughout October. Victorian Seniors Card holders can get out and explore metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria with free public transport from Sunday 6 October to Sunday 13 October. The City of Ballarat’s Active Ageing team aims to support our older residents to remain as independent and active as possible, both in their own home and in the community. The team offer a diverse range of social activities to encourage people to remain connected to their community, meet new people and to have fun.
