Explore the power of the brain and then expand it with craft and science fun, during October school holiday activities at Armidale Regional Libraries.
The Armidale library is partnering with UNE Science Discovery to offer two sessions for children aged five to 12 – The Power of the Brain on Thursday 3 October and Creative Chemistry on Friday 4 October. Both sessions will be held from 10.30am to 11.30am.
School holiday fun at the Armidale library will begin with a full day of LEGO free play on Monday 30 September.
The following day, kids of all ages can make a mini book, create Play Doh sculptures and make echidna grass heads during a two-hour craft morning from 10.30am.
The creativity continues on Wednesday 2 October with friendship bracelet making for children aged eight and over. Bring a fr iend and make a thread bracelet for each other from 10.30am.
Program and race robots when holiday activities get underway at the Guyra library on Tuesday 1 October. The Sphero coding and racing workshop will be held from 2pm.
Make candles and soap at the Guyra library on Thursday 3 October from 10.30am, then enjoy the film Aladdin the next day, also from 10.30am.
A LEGO free play day wraps up the Guyra activities on Friday 11 October.
Booking are not required for either LEGO session.

Tickets for the Aladdin movie screening are available at the Guyra library. Drinks and popcorn will be available on the day for $2.
