Stormwater drainage and road safety will be the focus of work to further improve Narooma’s Riverside Drive.
Eurobodalla Council will be meeting with residents and stakeholders next week before work begins on the 450 metre section of road, from the southern end of the skate park toward the Princes Highway.
Council’s infrastructure director Warren Sharpe said the northern end of the street was due for a new road surface, kerb and gutter, and stormwater improvements.
“The pavement on that section of Riverside Drive is patchy and prone to puddles after rain,” he said.
Mr Sharpe said an additional roundabout would also be built at the intersection with Burrawang Street, to “help improve road safety in the area”.
“This section of work will tie in where the last upgrade along Riverside Drive finished off.”
The upgrade is expected to be finished before the end of the year, weather permitting.
