Saturday, October 5, 2019, 9 – 11am Council’s ‘Greener Suburbs’ project is aimed at improving the clean and green feel of locations right across Brisbane through increased tree planting and landscaping. Zillmere is receiving funding under this program in the current financial year. Zillmere residents are being invited to have their say on this project. Council is hosting a community consultation session at the Zillmere Hall, 58 Murphy Road, Zillmere on Saturday 5 October from 9-11am to get your views on this initiative. It will be an informal session where you can drop in and share any feedback you have about where you would like to see trees planted in Zillmere, including if you think your own street needs more shade trees – as well as the type of species. If you are unable to attend but want to share your feedback, please contact your local councillor.
