Council is offering a free series of modified physical activity sessions for seniors from October in Romsey and Woodend as part of the Back in the Game program.

Back in the Game is a modified indoor sports program endorsed by the Council Of The Ageing (COTA) and aimed at local residents 65 years and over who are currently physically inactive.

Modified activities include walking soccer, walking netball, balloon volleyball, table tennis and more.

Free transport to and from the sessions is available, and a healthy morning tea will be provided free of charge.

The first session at Romsey Recreation Centre will be held on Thursday 10 October from 10am to 11.30am. In Woodend, the first session will be held at Buffalo Sports Stadium on Tuesday 19 November from 10am-11.30am.

The program aims to improve the physical wellbeing and quality of life of older people, and provide opportunities to connect socially in a fun and friendly environment.
