3D printing has arrived at Coffs Harbour’s library and staff are itching to show it off with a FREE introductory workshop on October 9 at 2pm.
“The possibilities really are endless with 3D printing. From favourite movie or gaming figurines, spare parts that are hard to source, right through to scale model aircraft and all points in between. 3D printing is an exciting new world,” said Roslyn Cousins, Library Team Leader.
“This is the latest innovation in our goal of bringing new technology and educational resources to our community.
“The printer will be in the main library area so anyone can enjoy the fascination of seeing the objects taking shape.”
At the workshop, staff will demonstrate the new Cubicon single plus 3D printer and talk participants through how they can use this new technology and where they can find free databases of designs.
Library members will be able to access the printer on a first-come-first-served basis. The cost of printing is $2.50 an hour and it will be operated by library staff.
