The Snowy Monaro community is encouraged to have their say on the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for Snowy 2.0 Main Works.

The EIS suite of documents can be viewed at the Cooma Library or online at the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment.

Two hundred copies of the Main Works EIS executive summary is available at Council offices and libraries.

Feedback will be accepted until Wednesday 6 November. Submissions can be made in writing to the Director – Energy Assessments, Department of Planning, Industry and Environment, GPO Box 39, Sydney, NSW 2001.

The Department will host a community information session on Thursday 17 October from 6pm to 8pm in the Cooma Car Club on Bolaro Street, Cooma.

The information session is being held to assist the local community to better understand the assessment process and how to make a submission on the proposal.
