The City of Greater Bendigo is seeking expressions of interest from community members who would like to be considered for the newly created Creative Industries Advisory Committee.
Director Strategy and Growth Bernie O’Sullivan said the committee was one of the key actions outlined in the new creative industries strategy, Greater CREATIVE Bendigo.
“This will be a formal advisory committee of Council and it will meet regularly to provide an important advisory and advocacy role for a diverse range of creative industries,” Mr O’Sullivan said.
“The members of the committee will also contribute to the long term vision of how the City and the community can work together to realise a future with creativity at its core.
“The committee’s role is to provide the best possible advice, guidance and strategic representation to Council on matters concerning creative industries, innovation and the implementation of the City’s Greater CREATIVE Bendigo.
“Creative industries form a significant and growing part of our economy which supports and generates jobs and investment. It also plays an important role in the health and wellbeing across the community and showcases Greater Bendigo to a wider audience.”
Expressions of interest can be submitted by Friday October 25. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an interview in early November.
