Campbelltown’s community spirit will once again be honoured during the annual Gift of Time awards program.
Each year thousands of Campbelltown residents give up their valuable time to help run community organisations, charities, sporting groups and more.
Nominations are now open for the 2019 Gift of Time awards and the community are invited to put forward individuals and organisations to receive recognition for their tireless work from Council.
Mayor George Brticevic said nominees could be hard working volunteers who serve in a variety of capacities.
“Our city is blessed with a strong community-minded spirit among its residents, many of whom volunteer much of their spare time,” Cr Brticevic said.
“Nominees could be people who work in veterans organisations, have raised funds for emergencies, who work the barbeque at the sports ground every weekend or who help feed the homeless,” he said.
“If these people are your family or friends then nominate them for an award to recognise the great work they do.”
Nominations close Friday 15 November.
