The Festival of Fisher’s Ghost Carnival will once again host a quiet session for people with disability on each Sunday of the event.
The quiet session events will be held on Sunday 3 November and 10 November from 10.30am to 12pm.
Each quiet session will feature a tent for relaxing which will include some quiet sensory activities, no PA announcements or spruiking, no flashing lights or music on rides and free rides for people with disability and their carers.
Mayor George Brticevic said Council was committed to ensuring every member of the community could enjoy the Festival of Fisher’s Ghost.
“The positive feedback from this initiative last year was overwhelming,” Cr Brticevic said.
“The quiet sessions provides people with disability and their carers the opportunity to enjoy the rides at their own pace without the pressure of a large carnival crowd,” he said.
Anyone interested in attending the quiet session can see Council’s website for more information.
The Festival of Fisher’s Ghost is on from 1 November to 10 November and includes a range of events.
The carnival is on each weekend of the festival from Friday to Sunday.
