Council will be visiting 12 localities from Keppel Sands to Stanage over the next two months to meet with residents about Council business while creating an opportunity to provide feedback at the next round of Community Meetings.

Starting at Great Keppel Island on 20 October, Mayor Bill Ludwig is encouraging residents to come along to the meetings taking place across the region throughout October and November.

“Council understands the value and importance of hosting these meetings that not only connect us with the many diverse communities within our Shire, but it also provides a space for Councillors and Council staff to discuss future plans for the region and receive valued input from residents.

“A general update of Council’s projects, future plans and initiatives throughout the last 12 months will be provided, as well as opportunities for the community to ask questions and bring up issues of importance in their area,” Mayor Ludwig said.

Deputy Mayor Nigel Hutton said Council appreciates those residents who take the time to engage in the meetings and looks forward to seeing new and familiar faces attending the upcoming visits.

“The meetings will begin with a formal presentation followed by a social gathering that will give residents the opportunity to speak one on one with your preferred Councillor while enjoying a cuppa,” Cr Hutton said.

“If you can’t make it to the meetings, but have an issue or idea you want to raise, please visit Council’s online Get Involved engagement website.

“All feedback provided using this platform will be responded to directly or captured as a customer request and logged, in the same manner as requests captured at the meetings.
