Strathbogie Shire Council is calling on our community to provide input into future planning for Euroa, with the draft Euroa Township Strategy open for community feedback.

Council’s Acting CEO, Phil Howard said the Euroa Township Strategy will provide a framework for how Euroa can sustainably grow and develop into the future.

“Euroa is a well-established town with a good range of services and facilities, it has the potential for further growth and offers a lifestyle alternative to urban and metropolitan areas,” Mr Howard explained.

“The Euroa Township Strategy aims to improve the function of the town to meet the needs of the local community, including looking at connectivity, accessibility, public streetscapes and carparking.”

“Township Strategies are crucial in guiding budget and capital works decisions, informing town planning and attracting funding from State and Federal Government,” Mr Howard said.

The draft strategy has considered feedback from initial discussions with the community held last year and through feedback in relation to Australian Rail Track Corporation’s Inland Rail Project on the Anderson Street overpass, which is also covered in the draft strategy.

Council welcomes feedback until 5pm Friday, 15 November, 2019.
