From Thursday 31 October, the bus stop outside the Lithgow Library will be temporarily relocated to carry out essential improvement works to the Lithgow Library.
From Thursday 31 October 2019 to Monday 23 December 2019, work will be commencing on the urgent deconstruction of the façade and awning of the Lithgow Library. In line with this project, hoarding will be installed to allow continued public access by footpath.
This project will impact the bus stop that exists directly in front of the Library. To ensure bus services are able to continue effectively throughout this period, the bus stop will be relocated to the area immediately in front of Harvey Norman, Lithgow (175 Main Street). Signage will be relocated and Lithgow Buslines have been informed of the temporary change.
Additionally, affected businesses have been consulted. While this will reduce parking directly in front of Harvey Norman and Telstra, residents are advised of the available parking to the rear of this building.
The patience of the Lithgow community is appreciated and Council advises that changed traffic conditions must be observed by all motorists and pedestrians using the area.
