The NSW Government is investing in community-led adaptation projects that deliver positive social, environmental and economic outcomes, while supporting community participation, preparation and resilience to climate change impacts.
The Increasing Resilience to Climate Change Community Grants program has been established to support projects that help communities to take action and manage climate change impacts by being able to better plan, prepare for, and respond to heatwaves, storms, floods, drought and bushfires, to increase their resilience to the impacts of climate change.
The Climate Change Fund is providing $600,000 in one round of grants, with grants between $10,000 and $30,000 available for individual projects.
Incorporated non-government and not for profit organisations, Land Councils and Aboriginal corporations are eligible to apply. Unincorporated community groups can apply to lead a grant application in partnership with one of the above eligible administrative applicants or a local council.
Applications close 21 January 2020.
Local organisations/groups are encouraged to apply. If you need assistance from Kyogle Council, please contact Suzie Coulston on 6632 1611.
