Council wants more local businesses and service providers to submit tenders for Council work. To help achieve this, Council is offering free procurement training on Saturday, 16 November at a Doing Business with Council workshop.
The training session is being targeted to local bush regeneration, walking track and landscaping businesses, with further training sessions planned for other businesses and services providers in the future.
This free training will upskill local businesses so they can submit applications. Skills attained through this training are transferable, so will equip attendees to do business with many organisations and government agencies.
The Doing business with Council workshop is facilitated by Col Lange, founder of Lange Consulting & Software. Mr Lange is the past designer and owner of the APET software used for Council’s Tenders and RFQs, so attendees will get the very best possible advice on using this platform.
Mr Lange delivers lively and practical training sessions covering procurement fundamentals, how best to use the APET software and practical tips about how to write an application to give you a better chance of winning.
Training will be held Saturday, 16 November at the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre, 1-3.30pm. To register and for more information please visit bmcc.nsw.gov.au/training-opportunities.
