Remembrance Day commemorations will be held across Baw Baw Shire to acknowledge and honour the noble sacrifices of armed forces and civilians during times of war.
Local services will be held across two days to consider volunteers' availability.
Commemorations will be conducted at the following war memorials:
Sunday 10 November 2019 Aberfeldy – 8.30am Walhalla – 10.00am Erica – 11.00am Willow Grove – 1.00pm Hill End – 2.00pm Monday 11 November 2019 Darnum - 11.00am Drouin – 10.40am Longwarry – 10.55am Narracan East – 9.30am Neerim South – 10.50am Thorpdale – 11.00am Trafalgar – 11.00am Warragul – 10.30am Yarragon - 9.30amAttendees are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes early.
All citizens are requested to observe one minutes silence at 11.00am to mark the cessation of hostilities on the Western front during World War I, and wear poppies as a sign of respect.
