City of Parramatta Council is seeking input from local residents and businesses on proposed upgrades to Dence Park in Epping.

Following feedback from the community, the City of Parramatta’s Dence Park Draft Masterplan aims to improve the quality of the park’s facilities and open space to ensure the site meets the community’s needs now and in the future.

Upgrades to the Epping Creative Centre, Epping Aquatic Centre and surrounding green and open spaces have also been identified within the plan.

“High-quality public spaces and facilities are important for our local communities, as they provide people with areas for recreation, learning, socialising and relaxing,” City of Parramatta Lord Mayor Cr Bob Dwyer said.

“The City of Parramatta is committed to improving facilities that will serve the current and future communities of Epping. Members of the local community are using these facilities on a regular basis, so it was important for Council to involve residents in the planning process, to ensure their needs are being met.”

The Draft Masterplan features upgrades such as a new district-size nature playground, a sky bridge, and updates to the Epping Aquatic Centre which includes a new 25m pool, aquatic amenities building, and outdoor aqua play area.

Community consultation is now underway. To have your say, please visit Council’s Our Say portal.

There will be a pop-up displaying the Draft Masterplan at the Dence Park Epping Creative and Aquatic Centre for those wanting further information. Hard copies of the Draft Masterplan are available at the Epping Library, Parramatta Library and Customer Contact Centre.

The Draft Masterplan will be on public exhibition until Monday 4 November.
